There are not many escapes this stress-free and unique just out of Melbourne. Only 70 minutes away by ferry, you will find yourself at the gateway of the Bellarine Peninsula where you can relax, unwind, and indulge. With so many interesting things to do on the Bellarine, the Portarlington Grand Hotel is the perfect place to base yourself for a short getaway.
For us, it’s all about the ‘One Percenters’. Those small little things in life that make a difference and actually add value to your day or experience.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Grand Shuttle Service, designed exclusively for in-house guests of the Portarlington Grand Hotel and those who have booked a Grand Day Out Package with us.
The Grand Shuttle Service runs from Monday and Friday and has a maximum capacity of 11 people. The bus will depart from the Portarlington Grand Hotel at 1:00 p.m. each day and visit a different destination each day of the week (schedule below). The bus will then return to that venue at 3:15 p.m. to pick everyone up and drop them back at either the hotel or the Portarlington Pier in time for the return ferry trip back to Melbourne.
Departs the hotel: 1:00 pm > Pickup from venue: 3:15 pm
Please note bookings must be pre-booked with the Portarlington Grand Hotel reception on (03) 8533 4898 and will be available on a first-in, first-served basis. This service does not include wine tasting or any other products, and it cannot be booked separately for any other drop-offs outside the above set schedule.
A Grand Day Out (Departures from Docklands, Melbourne) > Cruise across the bay to visit the magnificent and historical Portarlington Grand Hotel. Standing tall on the main street since 1888, the hotel has now completed a magnificent renovation and is open for business. Only a short walk away from where the ferry docks, look up the hill towards the hotel turret which will lead you to our oasis.
