Geelong services take a winter break

Due to lower winter demand and ongoing fuel supply challenges, Port Phillip Ferries will be temporarily pausing all Geelong ferry services that connect through Docklands, and also connect through Portarlington from Monday 25 May 2026, with services returning on Saturday 5 September 2026.

All Portarlington services will run all winter as normal. 

While our Geelong sailings take a short winter break, we’ll still be working hard to connect visitors with some of the Bellarine’s best experiences. Check out some of our new packages here >>

We’d like to thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard for Geelong sailings again from September. In the meantime, there are still plenty of wonderful winter experiences, cosy long lunches, tasting trails and day trips to discover across the Bellarine Peninsula.

General service disruptions

In the unlikely event of a schedule change or service cancellation to an existing booking, passengers will be notified via phone, email and/or SMS alert.

When booking please ensure your email is correct, as your ferry ticket and notifications will be sent there. Your email won’t be used for marketing unless you opt in.

We have a Customer Service team member located at the Melbourne Ferry Terminal each weekday and on weekend mornings to assist with enquiries.

They will also be answering as many phone calls as possible, but as they may be assisting customers in person, there may be a delay in responding.
