The Q Train, Transfers and Return Ferry

Available Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Enjoy stunning city and coastal views as you cruise along the Yarra River and across Port Phillip Bay to the charming seaside village of Portarlington. On arrival, you will be transferred (a short distance) to the departure point for The Q Train, Drysdale Railway Station (as featured on Masterchef). Please note: When booking The Q Train ticket, be sure to select ‘Would you like to include transport to and from The Q Train?’ Then select ‘Port Phillip Ferries (Docklands)’ as your pick-up location.

When you arrive at Drysdale Station you’ll have time to enjoy a glass of bubbly and a photo on the red carpet. Onboard the heritage train, take your seat in one of the refurbished dining carriages and enjoy a delicious degustation lunch featuring local Bellarine produce. Then sit back and admire the gorgeous views as you ride the rails. On arrival back at Drysdale Train Station, you will be transported back to Portarlington in time to catch the return ferry to Docklands.

Important Booking Information:

  1. You will be promoted to book The Q Train ticket first to confirm availability before booking your ferry tickets
  2. When you have selected The Q Train ticket you must then choose your Transport option: From the drop down please select ‘Port Phillip Ferries (Docklands)’ as your pick-up location
  3. After payment you will receive a confirmation email with your transport times and precise location
  4. If you’ve already booked The Q Train and would like to add the Port Phillip Ferries (Docklands) to your booking, please call us (03) 4238 3930 or email us
  5. If you’ve already booked the ferry and would like to add the Portarlington Pier Shuttle to your booking, please call us (03) 4238 3930 or email us
  6. As a limited seating venue with a long waitlist, we cannot refund or reschedule your booking if you miss the ferry. We recommend arriving at the Melbourne Ferry Terminal at least 20 minutes early
