Grand Day Out Packages
New Menu for Atrium and Dining Room

The Grand Day Out Package now has a revamped menu, and you can choose to dine in either the Atrium or the Dining Room at the Grand Hotel. Previously exclusive to the Atrium, the package now extends to the Dining Room—a charming restaurant located inside the hotel. With its warm ambiance, elegant design, and welcoming atmosphere, the Dining Room offers a delightful experience that is sure to leave you feeling warm and content.
The package begins with a leisurely cruise across Port Phillip Bay from Docklands aboard a modern fast ferry, arriving at the charming seaside town of Portarlington. Standing proudly on the main street since 1888, the historic Portarlington Grand Hotel has recently undergone a stunning renovation, seamlessly blending its rich heritage with modern luxury.
Included in the package
- Your return ferry journey from Docklands to Portarlington and back
- Lunch in either the leafy Atrium area or the cosy Dining Room
- Either a glass of house wine, a pot of tap beer or a refreshing soft drink
- Early sitting has access to the After Lunch Shuttle Service > MUST be pre booked online.

The Grand Day Out offers a nice discount for groups over 10 people however this will need to be manually booked by us. So for groups of 10 or more people, please send a request at least 72 hours prior to travel to info@portphillipferries.com.au or call 03 9514 8959.
After Lunch Shuttle Service – Atrium
Available for the early Atrium booking only – Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with limited availability
For us, it’s all about the ‘One Percenters’. Those small little things in life that make a difference and actually add value to your day or experience.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce the After Lunch Shuttle Service, designed for those who have booked the early seating time in the Atrium on a Grand Day Out Package*. Please note: this is not applicable for large group bookings, this is not a pick-up service from the ferry, child and infant seats are not available, and unfortunately this bus does not cater for wheelchairs.
The After Lunch Shuttle Service runs most weekdays and has a maximum capacity of 8 people. The bus will depart from the Portarlington Grand Hotel after your Atrium lunch and visit a different destination each day of the week (click button below for schedule). The bus will then return to that venue to pick everyone up and drop them back at the Portarlington Pier in time for the return ferry trip back to Melbourne.
* Please note: if you are pre booking this with the Grand Day Out Package you must do this at the time of your online booking and is available on a first-in, first-served basis. This service does not include wine tasting or any other products, and it cannot be booked separately for any other drop-offs outside the set schedule. The bus does not have child and infant seats available.
