Here’s what our passengers say
There’s no greater feeling than knowing you are making a difference in people’s lives. We are pretty chuffed with what our passengers are saying about their experience with us, that we couldn’t help but brag a little
Great experience and excellent value.
The Portarlington – Docklands trip by Port Phillip Ferries is a wonderful way to make this journey in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Avoid the traffic hassles and take in the views of the Bay while aboard this modern and well thought out vessel. The crew are friendly and helpful, the seating is comfortable and warm, and the sightseeing on the Bay and in the river is fantastic. Trip takes about 90 minutes and is very reasonably priced. No extra charge for the views of dolphins, seals and whales along the way.
I love catching the ferry to Melbourne, it beats worrying about the traffic on the freeway and the Docklands is close to free trams which make it easy to get around the CBD.Sue Chisholm
Sit back and relax
I took the ferrie to Portarlington on sat morning to visit friends. The journey took 90 mins but was a lovely relaxing way to travel. It travels slowly out thru the dockland so you get to see big ships being unloaded / loaded, tugs and pilot ships on the go, once we were thru the trip speed up and we were there in no time. They also had a documentary on animal life in the bay which was very interesting. The return journey was Monday morning 7am which was also hassle free and arrived intime to start work nice and relaxed. The staff were friendly and helpful. will do this again for sure
Wow what a way to get to Melbourne and back!
We took the Sunday ferry across to go to the footy and I’ll never commute by train/car again
It was the smoothest ride, very welcoming staff and a casual vibe.
It honestly felt like a 20 minute trip across the bay sight seeing seals and penguins(I bought a book and didn’t even think about getting it out once!). Then the fun starts, you go down the river, under the Westgate and Bolte bridges.
And the views on the way home as you leave the big smoke are stunning all lit up – a rare and very instagram worthy view
Even on the last departure for a Sunday night there were coffee/bars open right on the pier, and a vending machine on board if you get hungry.
Cannot wait to bring the kids and whole family in a couple of weeks for Fathers Day and I’m already planning our trip over for Ed Sheeran early next year
Unwind from the grind
A great way to commute to Melbourne. Views are stunning, crew is friendly and the ferry is a dream compared to the often late and overcrowded V/Line train. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, free wifi and tv so you can catch up on the news if you want to – but personally I think the best thing to watch is the waves. So relaxing.
