Discover The Bellarine

Wineries...This Winter

We believe the best way to start a weekend (or any day for that matter) is a cruise on the bay. Literally watching the world sail by, as you soak up the fresh sea air, feel the cool wind on your face and remember how good it feels to be alive.

The second best way to start the weekend, is a visit to The Bellarine's wineries - because there's nothing cooler than wineries in winter. So rug up... pack your day-pack and come explore these (uber) cool wineries this winter!

A producer of premium cool maritime climate wines, Scotchmans Hill has been a leading local winery for over thirty years and is rated among James Halliday’s Top 100 Australian Wineries. Their immaculately maintained vineyards overlook Port Phillip Bay, and the wines are a true reflection of this beautiful, local environment.

Terindah is Indonesian for 'most beautiful' - and that's perfectly explains what to expect when you visit. Taste delicious wine and food, stroll through the fig trees or the vines and enjoy scenic vistas overlooking the You Yangs.

DID YOU KNOW?  On arrival into Portarlington, Port Phillip Ferry passengers can met by a courtesy bus, and whisked away to discover these four wineries! Make sure you book your free bus seat by calling 0490 074 494

2017 sees Bellarine Estate turn 21; now being one of the oldest wineries on The Bellarine. Over the years this winery has racked up the awards and accolades resulting in what is a premium product offering for visitors today.  Dine in its award winning restaurant, taste its award winning wines and celebrate with their live music each weekend.

Situated on the corner of Macadams Lane and Portarlington Road, Bennetts' Cellar Door is a relaxed open air venue set against the backdrop of a rustic 100 year old Dairy. Relax under the sugar gums, snuggle up to the outdoor fire pit and enjoy a cheese platter as you indulge in their charming wine.

Easy travel, cool climate wines, food and exploration - the four most essential ingredients of a good weekend away - can be found right here, on The Bellarine.

Check out our daily departures from Docklands Melbourne CBD to Portarlington here.

Down on the Bellarine the beautifully deep, dark, black soils and rolling hills and close proximity to Port Phillip Bay, produce a more cherry/strawberry fruit influenced style of pinot noir.
